This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
Find out below how to request information the police hold on you.
You can also request details of your criminal history, whether it’s for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, visa applications or family court proceedings. If we can’t provide the information you need, we’ll point you to somewhere that can.
I'd like to request disclosure for family court proceedings about myself
If you're a 'litigant in person' and making an application on your own behalf
Requests for disclosure for family court proceedings are usually made by your legal representation; if you're representing yourself then we may, if appropriate, disclose information to you.
If you have a court order for the disclosure
You'll need to include a copy of the order and your identification (eg a copy of your passport, drivers licence and a utility bill).
If you are applying under schedule 2 part 1 5(3)
You'll need to complete the schedule 2 form and include it and your identification (eg a copy of your passport, drivers licence and a utility bill).
If you're making an application as a legal representative
You will need to include confirmation of your authority to act on behalf of your client in your application.
How to apply
You'll need to make your request to us in writing to:
Information Management

How much does it cost
There is an initial fee of £96.50 for the first two hours it takes to process your request and an additional £32.40 for every two hours spent processing the request after that.
We will confirm the exact amount with you once we've received and reviewed your application.
